A 5th place in the team competition is our best performance ever at Jr Meis (formerly JOs)

41 of our fastest 14 & under athletes competed in the 2025 Junior Metropolitan Swimming Championships, or Jr Mets in short.at the Nassau Aquatic Center this past weekend. Jr Mets was formerly called JOs or Junior Olympics.
Our swimmers raced 262 times and swam 145 best times.
Five Jr Mets champions!
Total time improvement 198 seconds, or more than 3 minutes.
New time standards: 4 'AAAA' times, 28 'AAA' times, 17 'AA' times, and 5 'A' times.
New qualification times: 2 Sectional cuts, 5 Sr Mets cuts, and 10 Jr Zone cuts.
Our 11 & Unders scored most of the individual points.

The Top 10 qualifiers in each event score points for their teams with 1st place getting 11 points,
2nd place 9 points, 3rd place 8 point to 1 point for 10th place. Relay points are double the individual points.
