22nd Annual TVSC Mile (and 200, 500, 1000 free) Time Trials - Stony Brook University Pool - January 7, 2024

TVSC swimmers swimming the distance events for the first time are always afraid that they will "die" during the race.

22 TVSC Miles and still nobody "died". 

Rayna (13) right after swimming a Stony Brook University pool record in the 1650 free:18:45.13 (that empty row on the new record board). 

Actually we did not know that a 1650 free pool record did not exist, so, Alyssa Casalinuovo had this pool record since last year's TVSC Mile with a 19:23.

91 TVSC Novice, Junior, Senior and National team swimmers swam 145 best times. Total time improvement 2525 seconds, or more than 42 minutes!  New time standards: 5 'AAA' times, 2 'AA' times, 9 'A' times, 27 'BB' times, and 29 'B' times.  New qualification times: 1 Sectional cut, 4 Age Group Champs cuts, and 2 Silver cuts,

During their 1650 race, Kaylee Vargas and Aiden Fratticci-Rodriguez swam four best times: 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free and 1650 free.

During their 1000 race, Jack Baily, Esteban  Quintero, and Lewis Wu swam three best times: 200, 500 and 1000 free.
