Nassau Aquatic Center - September 23, 2023 - At the Sachem Sprint, the forever-8-&-Under Bryce Boudreau broke a 1987 or 36-year-old 100 Free Team Record from Chris Helin by 1.38 sec - 1:07.49. Great job and congrats!
Bryce is now the 8-&-Under Team Record Holder in the 100 and 200 Free, 100 Back and 200 IM.

This is a picture of Chris Helin from 1999 when he was a freshman as a Tar Heel at the University of North Carolina (UNC).
As a freshman he was the MVP for his team. The Tar Heels were second at the ACC Swimming & Diving Championships and Chris earned All-ACC honors in three events in 2000.
Chris Helin was the first TVSC alumnus to qualify for and compete in the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Indianapolis.
99 TVSC swimmers competed at the first swim meet of the 2023-2024 season. They raced 377 times and swam 255 best times -- 68%. Total time improvement 565 seconds, or more than 9 minutes. New time standards: 2 'AAA' times, 1 'AA' time, 7 'A' times, 30 'BB' times, and 19 'B' times. New qualification times: 1 Eastern Zone Age Group Champs cut, 7 JO cuts, 7 Holiday Classic cuts, 13 Holiday Classic Bonus cuts, and 17 Silver cuts.
