2nd Annual Cedar Beach Open Water Swim - July 7, 2023

40 TVSC swimmers competed at the 2nd Cedar Beach Open Water race.  

Last year we set a goal of 80 TVSC swimmers at this year's Cedar Beach race.

The reason for not meeting this was the cool spring which kept the water temperature in the Sound below normal.

So, the first open water practice was held on June 29, 8 days before this event and the water temperature was only in the mid sixties.

With the warm weather of the last week, the water temperature increased to 71F.

Next year we want 80 TVSC swimmers participate!!!

 

Results:

Cedar Beach - Friday morning 6:30 AM - cannot wish for more perfect conditions - water temperature 71.2F
