This past Saturday, February 11th, 19 of our boys competed in the Suffolk County Section XI Swimming Championships at Stony Brook University.

There were many great swims and our TVSC boys represented very well!

Max Buchen took first in the 100 breast with a blazing 56.54 swim,  AAAA NCSA cut! That time puts Max just .13 seconds out of 1st place in the TVSC all time top ten!

Vinny Vinciguerra took first place in the 50 Free with a fantastic 21.35 swim, AAA NCSA cut! Just missing 1st in the 100 free by .44 seconds with a very fast 46.21!

Noah Giunta took first for the 3rd straight year in the 100 Fly in a very competitive race, with a great swim of 50.09, AAAA NCSA cut!  He took 2nd in the 100 back with a personal best of 51.39. Noah was also named the Long Island Swimming Officials Scholar Athlete.

Other great finishes included; Richie Hall who took 2nd in the 500 free, Thomas Miele took 2nd in the 100 breast and Ethan Placencia-Nazareno took 2nd in the 200 free and 3rd place in the 500 free.

Holden Stencel, our youngest TVSC representative at 12, went a personal best and AAA time of 1:01.09 in the 100 back.  That puts Holden at 3rd on the TVSC top time list for that age group!

Trevor Green a freshman and at just 14 had two 3rd place swims in the 100 fly and 100 back.

It was a wonderful environment and all our boys swam fast.    This meet is a perennial favorite where TVSC really shows up. Our youngest swimmers, no doubt,  will continue the tradition for years to come.

Now on to States.

TVSC has 11 boys representing at States on March 3rd & 4th in both individual events and relays.

Good Luck to them All!!
